About the Course

You may be thinking: Should I apply to PA school now or wait? You’ve come to the right place. This course helps you answer that question honestly and without pressure. Together, we’ll assess your readiness beyond GPA and clinical hours, examine timing, narrative strength, and letters of recommendation, and unpack common myths that push students to apply too early. We’ll also identify less obvious hurdles that can weaken your application if they’re ignored. By the end, you’ll know whether to apply, pause, or prepare and you’ll have a clear, confident next step that fits where you are right now.

I’m Ashley, a physician assistant, clinical student preceptor, and the host of the Shadow Me Next! podcast. I work closely with students at every stage of the pre-PA journey, and I’ve seen firsthand how often strong applicants rush to apply before they’re truly ready, not because they lack ability, but because they lack clarity. I created this course to offer the kind of guidance I wish more students had access to: honest, non-judgmental insights that look beyond checklists and timelines. I’ll help you assess readiness, timing, and strategy so you can apply confidently and apply once.
